AI / LLM Engineering: Retrieval-augmented generation, vector search (PostgreSQL/pgvector), local model serving on Apple Silicon (MLX, Ollama, OpenAI-compatible APIs), model evaluation and selection, fine-tuning data pipelines, agentic development workflows (Claude Code)
Web & Data: Next.js/React, Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript, PostgreSQL, SQLite, PHP/MySQL, Docker, Cloudflare Pages & Tunnels, macOS server administration
Integrating production AI into Claris FileMaker solutions for small and medium businesses. Built an OpenAI-compatible local inference service (MLX and Ollama on Apple Silicon) that drives FileMaker 2025’s native AI script steps — semantic find, RAG, and embeddings — so client solutions gain natural-language search, document Q&A, and AI-assisted data processing while all data stays on the client’s own hardware. Developed natural-language-to-SQL querying for FileMaker data, backed by an automated 24/7 pipeline that generates and scores model training data, plus evaluation harnesses used to select and validate production models.
Rebuilt a production FileMaker system as a standalone Next.js/PostgreSQL web platform. Built retrieval-augmented knowledge systems on PostgreSQL with pgvector, including a semantic index over two years of development history. Runs multi-agent AI development workflows (Claude Code) with autonomous overnight build-and-review loops, and operates the supporting infrastructure: Cloudflare Tunnel and Pages deployments, launchd-managed services, and automated backups.
Worked with an aviation media publishing company producing industry-leading magazines. Migrated their core business processes from a shared Excel spreadsheet system to a custom FileMaker-based solution. Built a quoting/invoicing module, extended to a Web Direct application allowing clients to confirm order details via web-based forms. Developed a “Master Placement” module for admin staff to manage customer ad placements across multiple publications. The system also replaced Simply Accounting for the client’s accounting requirements. The project included consolidation of 5 different contact databases (over 130,000 records) into the new FileMaker-based system.
The Support Group is one of the largest FileMaker-only premium partner development companies in the world with locations in Boston, New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles. As a Developer based in Boston, worked with many clients building new solutions, enhancing existing solutions, maintaining solutions and installing hardware/software. Responsible for working with the IT team, researching, and documenting solutions to streamline data process and management of the school’s data systems. Continued development/administration and training of the school’s custom Student Information System (S.I.S.)
Working directly with the V.P. of curriculum, developed from concept to production a customized Student Information System (SIS) based on a FileMaker Pro 11 platform. SIS includes complete admissions, reporting, attendance, family demographics, parent-teacher interview booking, teacher/course evaluation, calendar, auto enrollment and OUAC/OnSIS integration. Utilized different training methods including in person, online, and video tutorials. Contributed to decision process on future technology solutions.
